  • Carroll's Seahawks staff in place

Renton, WA (Sports Network) - The Seattle Seahawks have announced the staff for new head coach Pete Carroll, and it includes two coaches retained from the previous staff.

Remaining in their roles are defensive coordinator Gus Bradley and defensive line coach Dan Quinn, who were both on Jim Mora's staff.

Additionally, Jeremy Bates was named offensive coordinator.

He was the offensive coordinator this past season at USC after spending the 2006-08 seasons with the Denver Broncos in several offensive coaching roles.

Quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch, running backs coach Sherman Smith, wide receivers coach Kippy Brown, tight ends coach Pat McPherson, offensive line coach Alex Gibbs and assistant Art Valero, and quality control coaches Luke Butkus and Dave Canales fill out the offensive coaching staff.

Joining Bradley and Quinn on defense is linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr., who was on Carroll's USC staff since 2004. Also on defense, Jerry Gray is defensive backs coach, while Kris Richard, who played at USC before joining Carroll's staff there, is assistant defensive backs coach. Rocky Seto, another member of Carroll's previous staff, is defensive quality control coach.

Special teams coordinator Brian Schneider and his assistant, Jeff Ulbrich, were both on Carroll's staff at USC, as was strength and conditioning coach Chris Carlisle, who will be assisted by Jamie Yanchar and Mondray Gee.
