  • Boley and Canty are listed as questionable, but both made it through practice this week and intend to play.

    Also for the team, head coach Tom Coughlin announced that Aaron Rouse will start at safety in lieu of C.C. Brown in Sunday's game. Rouse joined the team via waivers from Green Bay on September 24, the day safety Kenny Phillips was placed on injured reserve.

  • Smith re-aggravated a shoulder injury in Sunday's 17-10 loss To St. Louis that he originally suffered in a Week 3 win against Washington. He was held out of practice on Wednesday but practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday.

    Wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who has missed the past two games with a shoulder injury, was limited in practice all week.

  • The Denver Post reported the move, which has yet to be announced. Law spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Patriots, where current Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels was a defensive coach from 2001-03.

    Law spent last season with the New York Jets, playing in seven games and recording 19 tackles. He brings to the Broncos 15 years of experience, having won three Super Bowls with New England.

  • Jackson told the Indianapolis Star he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Wednesday afternoon's practice.

    The 26-year-old Jackson, a first-round draft pick of the Colts in 2005, ends his season early for the second straight season. He played seven games in 2008, but injured his knee during practice and had surgery before missing the remainder of the season.

  • "Tom Cable's history of violence against women raises a question: why is he still the head coach of an NFL team? Mr. Cable admits having battered his first wife, and he stands accused of battering two other intimate partners as well," NOW president Terry O'Neill said in a statement.

    On Monday, the Raiders said they had a plan for a "serious evaluation" into allegationsthat Cable assaulted women during past relationships.

  • Collier was paralyzed from the waist down and had his left leg amputated after being shot multiple times in September, 2008. Hartsfield was also found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

    Collier was shot early on September 2 outside an apartment complex in Jacksonville.

    Rodgers was also limited in practice last week but played exceptionally well in the Packers' 38-26 loss to the Vikings.

  • Bradshaw (ankle/foot) appeared in the team's 40-17 loss at Philadelphia last weekend, but was ineffective with only 21 rushing yards on nine carries. Meanwhile, Ross (hamstring) has yet to play in a game this season.

    Defensive tackle Chris Canty (calf), linebacker Michael Boley (knee), tight end Kevin Boss (ankle) and wide receivers Mario Manningham (shoulder) and Sinorice Moss (foot) were limited in practice on Wednesday.

  • Heap (ankle) has played in all seven games for the 4-3 Ravens. He has caught 27 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns. McClain (shoulder) has also played every in game this season, recording one rushing score.

    Linebacker Prescott Burgess (illness), long snapper Matt Katula (elbow), safety Haruki Nakamura (chest), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (ankle), cornerback Frank Walker (illness), and safety Tom Zbikowski (illness) all missed Wednesday's practice.

    Several other Bears were limited in Wednesday's practice session, including linebacker Lance Briggs (shoulder), defensive tackle Tommie Harris (knee), defensive end Adewale Ogunleye (ankle), safety Craig Steltz (bicep) and tight end Greg Olsen (ankle).

  • Hagler recorded 26 tackles in seven games this season. He has never played more than 12 games in his four-year career with Indianapolis.

    Philip Wheeler is expected to see more time at linebacker with the absence of Hagler.

  • The oft-injured back suffered a concussion in Week 7 against the Redskins and did not return to the field until Wednesday. He is expected to be a full participant in practice all week and will likely play in this upcoming Sunday's NFC East battle against Dallas.

    Westbrook, 30, also sat out Week 3 against Kansas City with an ankle injury.

  • Johnson got the offensive award as he set a franchise record in rushing yards in a single game, with 228 in a 30-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He carried the ball 24 times and had touchdown runs of 52 and 89 yards to help the Titans (1-6) to their first win of the season.

    Johnson's counterpart on Jacksonville, Maurice Jones-Drew, had touchdown runs of 80 and 79 yards, making it the first time in NFL history that there were four rushing touchdowns of at least 50 yards in a single game.

  • Favre, playing at Lambeau Field against the Packers for the first time, guided Minnesota to a 38-26 win over Green Bay to take the offensive honor.

    He completed 17-of-28 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns, with no interceptions, for a 128.6 passer rating. It was his 21st career four- TD performance, tying Favre with Dan Marino for most in NFL history.
